Living the Promise Here and Now

2 Corinthians 1:20-22
"For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. Now He which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts."

Paul said in Romans 8:36-39: "As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus. In all things, that we may encounter, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. Yet, some of us can sit around and have the biggest “pity party” you have ever seen; talking about how bad things are, wondering what can be done. We look to others to help us out of the slump that we are in, when we should be going to the true source of our supply. We should be going to our mighty God and everlasting Father. He is the One Who knows all, the One Who can do all, and the One Who is all.

Remember, David proclaims in Psalm 37:25: "I have been young, and now am old; yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." What a testimony to the faithfulness of our God! Remember, God is the one constant in this ever-changing world. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  What He has done before, He can do again. Just as He guided the children of Israel through the wilderness, He will guide us. Exodus 13:21-22 tells us: "And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people." God will guide us through our wilderness experience as well, if we will just trust Him. He will feed us with manna from heaven, when we are hungry, just as He fed the children of Israel, if we will just trust Him. Our God takes [very good] care of His own.
